The Norman automotive sector is going through a major crisis, accelerated by European measures affecting internal combustion engines by 2035 and the push toward carbon neutrality by 2050. Between relocations, declining employment, and Asian competition, the future of the sector depends on collective mobilization. To address this multifactorial crisis, the CESER calls for preserving the industrial ecosystem. Normandy, as an industrial region, has significant strengths: low-carbon energy, expertise, strategic sites, and more. Based on the hearings conducted, the Region must play a leading role in defending its interests at the national and European levels, in order to preserve this ecosystem and position the territory as a hub for experimentation and innovation in greener, more sustainable mobility.
